The Chemical Industries Association has welcomed Commissioner Thyssen’s announcement today on a legislative proposal for inclusion of additional substances and occupational exposure limits within the Carcinogens and Mutagens Directive. “The health of workers in the chemical industry is a top priority for businesses” said Steve Elliott, CIA’s Chief Executive.

“A workplace can have a significant impact on an individuals’ health, and protecting the health of those who work for an organisation is at the heart of every sustainable business.
